Turnover Rate by leave reason
Measures the turnover rate for every termination reason.
Calculation steps:
- choose a time frame
- correlate every employee that left within the chosen time frame with the reason for termination
- count the total number of employees for every termination reason.
- apply the turnover formula for every termination reason and obtain a rate for every reason
Every employee should be correlated with a termination reason.
Termination reasons can be clustered in 2 main categories depending on who had the initiative for termination:
- voluntary termination - the employee had the initiative for, for example: resignation
- involuntary termination - the company had the initiative for termination
This type of division generates two new metrics: voluntary and involuntary turnover.
