Involuntary turnover
Measures the percentage of employees who left by the company’s initiative due to different reasons: performance, restructure of organizational chart, counter productive behavior (theft, fraud, absenteeism, substance abuse, bullying, harassment, etc.).
Calculation steps:
- choose a time frame
- identify the number of employees that left from company's initiative within the time frame
- identify the average number of employees within the company
- divide the number of employees that left from company's initiative by the average number of employees
- express the value as a percentage
