Measures the percentage of conversion of position filled with people already employed by the company.



Calculation steps:

  1. choose time frame
  2. identify the number of positions filled with people already employed by the company
  3. identify the total number of positions filled within the time frame
  4. divide the number of position filled with already employed people to the total number of positions filled



Low values can mean you don’t trust that your employees can handle bigger or different roles. It can mean that you are investing in the wrong place your L&D budget.


Relevant dimensions: overall company, by company levels, managerial and individual contributors, functional area, key jobs, department, job profile.
