Giveaway/takeaway ratio


It measures the number of employees that join the company from the direct competition and how many employees leave to direct competitors.



Calculation steps:

Takeaway ratio:

  1. identify the number of open positions within the time frame
  2. identify the number of positions filled with employees from direct competitors
  3. divide the number of positions filled with employees from direct competitor by the total number of open positions


Giveaway ratio:

  1. identify the number of employees that left the company to go to the direct competitors
  2. identify the average number of employee within the company in the time frame
  3. divide the number of employee that left to the average number of employees within the time frame
