Giveaway/takeaway ratio
It measures the number of employees that join the company from the direct competition and how many employees leave to direct competitors.
Calculation steps:
Takeaway ratio:
- identify the number of open positions within the time frame
- identify the number of positions filled with employees from direct competitors
- divide the number of positions filled with employees from direct competitor by the total number of open positions
Giveaway ratio:
- identify the number of employees that left the company to go to the direct competitors
- identify the average number of employee within the company in the time frame
- divide the number of employee that left to the average number of employees within the time frame
