Engagement overall index
It measures the average engagement score at company level.
Engagement is measured through surveys.
There are multiple frameworks that use different questions related to different areas that are considered to generate engagement.
Scores are usually calculated by associating to each answer within the response scale a number of points.
The overall engagement index is useful to understand how well your organization is doing. Also it is a good way to benchmark against the market and industry that you are part of.
Understanding engagement surveys requires the in depth analysis of:
- Engagement by department
- Engagement by age group
- Employee engagement category
- Engagement by employees that left
- Engagement by gender
- Engagement by geography
- By employee engagement level increase or decrease since the previous evaluation
- Engagement by managerial and individual contributor population
- Engagement by pay index
