Answer standard deviation

Standard deviation quantifies the amount of variation (dispersion) of the values within a set.

A low standard deviation means that the answers tend to be closer to the mean.

In case of engagement surveys a low standard deviation means a higher level of agreement among employees.

A high standard deviation requires a frequency analysis of the answers types.

Frequency analysis example: how many employees answered the first option in the scale, how many employees answered the second option, etc.
